Privacy Policy for Freq

Effective Date: 22.01.2026

Freq is an iOS application that analyzes audio frequencies in real-time using your device's microphone and displays the detected frequency along with the corresponding musical note. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle user data.

1. No Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or share any personal data from users of Freq.

  • The app does not collect user information.
  • The app does not track usage.
  • The app does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
  • The app does not transmit any data over the internet.

2. Microphone Access

Freq requires microphone access to perform real-time audio frequency analysis. Audio data is processed entirely on your device and is:

  • Never recorded or stored
  • Never transmitted to any server
  • Never shared with any third party
  • Processed only while the app is actively analyzing

You can revoke microphone access at any time through your device's Settings.

3. No Third-Party Access

We do not share any data with third parties. We do not use external servers, APIs, or services that process user data.

The only tools involved in the development and distribution of Freq are Apple-provided tools (such as Xcode and App Store Connect) for standard app deployment and crash reporting.

4. Your Rights under GDPR

Even though Freq does not collect any data, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), users in the European Economic Area (EEA) have rights regarding their personal data.

Since we do not collect or process any personal data, we are not able to fulfill data access, deletion, or correction requests – simply because we do not hold any such data.
